🎉 What an inspiring day at our Inaugural Italian Heritage Celebration! 🇮🇹✨ @nycschools @artanddesignnyc @motionpicturenyc
Held in the historic Tweed Courthouse, the event celebrated resilience, joy, and pride in Italian American heritage, and we were honored by a special visit from CABRINI film executive producer Eustace Wolfington. His words on legacy and perseverance truly resonated with everyone in attendance. @cabrinifilm
The celebration featured remarks from Chancellor Melissa Aviles-Ramos, Superintendent Julia Bove of District 22, Superintendent Dr. David Pretto of Community School District 20, and Italian American leaders across NYC, alongside performances from Edward R. Murrow High School students with beautiful renditions of Frank Sinatra classics.
A huge thanks to everyone who joined us in celebrating Italian American culture and community!
This includes our amazing MPT filmmakers who produced this amazing recap video; Rajaa, Giulia, Isabel, Myles and Eveline! And thanks to our industry partner Jessica Vargas, and our MPT teachers Ms. Sullivan, Ms. Gutierrez, and Mr. Fitz for their support behind the scenes! 🎥🎥

🌟 Leadership through service! Shoutout to our incredible Motion Picture Tech 9th graders and our amazing C.O.S.A., Ms. Rodriguez, for volunteering at this year’s NYC Marathon! 🏃♀️🏃♂️💦
Our students were out there in full force, handing out water and supporting the dedicated runners who needed hydration for their epic journey! 9th graders Judith, David, Joseph, and Laura served and distributed water at the NYC Marathon from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., taking part in this community service opportunity to bank hours toward the service seal for their diploma!
This is what MPT is all about—giving back to our vibrant city and community. Not only did our students gain invaluable experiences, but they also earned volunteer service hours, building their resumes for future success. 🙌
Want to get involved? Reach out to Ms. Rodriguez ([email protected]) to learn about more opportunities to give back the Motion Picture Tech way! 💙💫 #MPTCommunity #NYCMarathon #GiveBack
